The Information I Hold

To provide you with a safe and effective service, I keep necessary information such as your contact details and brief, anonymised notes of our sessions.

How Your Information is Stored

I take the security of your information very seriously.

• Handwritten session notes are kept securely in a locked filing cabinet.
• Digital records, such as your contact details, are stored separately on password-protected and encrypted devices.
• I am required to keep your records for seven years after our work concludes, after which they will be securely destroyed.

Limits of Confidentiality

While our sessions are confidential, I have a professional and legal duty to break confidentiality if I believe there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, or if required by law. I also discuss my work with a clinical supervisor, where your identity is always protected, to ensure I am providing the highest standard of practice.

Your Data Rights

You have the right to access the information I hold about you and request corrections.
